A 150-year old solid teak rice barn located in Thailand has recently been refinished with TufShield.™ The entire rice barn had been disassembled and moved to its new location in preparation for the finishing.
The bare wood was first completely cleaned off using the TufShield™ TS Reducer product. The TS Reducer can be used to clean up dirty or heavily oiled wood prior to application of the TufShield™ Base Coat.
Next, the bare wood was treated with a dark rub stain at the request of the rice barn owner, to get a dark, rich look.
Following this, 4 coats of TufShield Base Coat and 2 coats of Top Coat Gloss was applied to finish it off.
In this blog, we'll see some of the "before" photos as the rice barn was being prepared with the dark rub stain. As always, you can click on any photo to increase the size.
